Matte
Matte finish is just that; matte. This can be an unforgiving finish on dry skin if you haven't used a good moisturiser and primer, whereas it's one of my preferred finishes to opt for when it comes to oily skin.
Dewy
Think morning dew on the grass. This finish is fresh and youthful. Not glittery, but it reflects light, giving a making your skin looks like it's glowing from within. Stay away from this if you have oily skin; there's a fine line between glowing and greasy, and any oil breaking through during the day will take you closer to the latter.
Satin/Natural
In between matte and dewy. This tends to be the more natural finish, kind of like your skin, but a little better. It's a fairly safe bet for most skin types, and works well with a lot of make up styles.
